Roblox Developer Network 

The network is built on the idea of cultivating a respectful, positive and understanding space to hold game industry networking, teamwork and collaboration for the next generation of game developers on Roblox and studios interested in breaking into the Roblox space. We are building each other up through positive collaboration with over 100+ members, and two partnerships.

Our Principles

• Encourage each other, support and celebrate everyone's successes

• Understand constructive questioning, learning mistakes, and growing moments together

• Empower new game devs with access to industry resources, self-promotion, and community guidance

Tiny Tavern Talks 

A couple times a month, Sparket staff host "Tiny Tavern Talks" which are used as a networking event meet-and-greet online for community members. Workshop activities along with the meet-and-greet take place in the Roblox Event game "Tiny Devs" and in the network Discord. 

Common workshop topics: 

• Playtesting each other's games 

• Rapid ideation for gamejam pivots

• Roblox Studio development challenges and success stories

• How to create a basic GDD and game roadmap 

Small Project Program

We are helping our community form teams, get portfolio pieces & job experience to be competitive in the game industry with the small project program.

• Apply to be a small project owner and recruit volunteers to help! 

• Meet great developers starting their careers 

• Create small projects for portfolio pieces 

• Get 1:1 help from gamedev coaches and Sparket staff

Not ever project will be qualified, please join the Discord and read through the application guidelines before applying! 

UpSkill Community Partnership Lectures 

The recent partnership with UpSkill Community introduces our community to their free lecture format. Sparket GameDev Annie & Sam will also be lectures with UpSkill, offering the following on a monthly basis: 

• Lua programming & Roblox Studio support 

• Games QA & UX Training

Roblox Game & UGC Review

Need people to give you feedback on your game or user generated creation? Our staff will review and give you the information you need to improve your content! This is a free review service like all our network initiatives, we do not charge. 

Game Dev Coaches

Our gamedev coaches representation are from Indie, AA and AAA studios. They have signed up to volunteer to help coach, guide, and offer encouragement to young professionals in our community. They also offer free feedback reviews!
